A skin-structure within a carnal fragment. Synthetic blood cells take over part of the wall. Abstract organs and molecules merge into each other in a different way than would be anatomically correct. Within the works, the concept of a core is reimagined. The familiarity and at the same time alienated elements create a field of tension within the space. This creates a new kind of compassion

The warmth and compression created by the sculptures are interspersed with digital moving images. These videos can be found in portals in spatial works, other images are larger than expected.

From the fascination with the physical, this installation was born. The soft structures of the ceramics and pur foam are interspersed with warm colors. Flesh, fluid, skin, cells and the organs of the body have been sources of inspiration for Melting Core.
